I mean I'll wash the cover for the top that I bought to cover my daughter for the winter. but because it's in a bag in a box brand new nobody has touched it I didn't think I would have to wash the car seat. I'd wash them. you don't know what it's come in contact with at the plant or during production. just like you should wash new clothes and I'd wipe down the base and plastic part of the seat too just for good measure
