Why do women try so hard to induce labor? No judgements, I just am curious because I see so many…

I'm 35w. I understand the feel to be ready for your body to be normal again because third trimester is kicking my butt. I won't try to induce anything or ask to be induced because I know baby is ready when baby is ready, but my body hurts so bad now and I'm considerably small! I can only imagine what some of these mamas are feeling that are huge. I think it's mainly the pain and uncomfortableness of third trimester is what I'm trying to get at!

it's literally just anticipation. being unable to wait for such an exciting moment. I know I was in pain and wanting to meet my baby with my first. now, I'm in pain with my second and I'm 36 weeks today. I'm pretty sure she is going to be here early but I'm definitely not rushing her lol

@mommyandbriston I could imagine! @nerdmamatn I guess I see some women doing things like castor oil and etc and wonder is it worth it...I'm super impatient about everything but I know those last few weeks are still crucial for baby.

I tried doing squats with my son because I was in so much pain because his head was so low and I couldn't sleep and I was so swollen I felt like my skin was going to rip open but I honestly believe that the baby comes when they're ready and your body is ready. I dont think trying to self induce does anything. I think its a coincidence.

I tried some labor cookies my doctor said it was fine. Of course it did nothing. just testing myths. I made sure nothing would hurt the baby. I guess some women are just done being pregnant. I've been pregnant for almost 18 months. Back to back pregnancies. I want her out but I know I need to wait till labor or my doctor says otherwise.

@amber.s95 squats aren't bad. Its when I see some women taking certain drugs to make it happen make me worried

I only tried because of how big my son was. when I was 32 weeks my son was measuring at 38 weeks. the day be was born he weighed 10 lbs 9.8 oz. I knew he was gonna be huge I weighed 120 before I got pregnant and by the time I gave birth I gained almost 90 lbs and so this baby they are watching to make sure it doesn't get too big like my son and if this one does they are gonna induce me before 40 weeka

I don't agree with inducing at all unless it Necessary! When the baby is ready they'll come.

So the doctor doesn't have to do it for them xD Trust me I got induced.

@royalmommy I agree! I'm not shaming anyone who do decides to induce early because they know their body and they obviously (hopefully) talked to their doctor but I just was curious why the urge so soon lol you know you'll miss feeling that baby kicking inside you haha

I was told I just naturally have big baby this baby grew a lot within 8 days

I actually was told by my doc to start trying to induce labor starting last week. Sometimes they want you to try and induce to keep them from medically having to do it. I have higher blood pressure along with a few other things so he wants me to do my best to try and get baby to come by Monday so that he doesn't have to induce because he wants to keep medical intervention as low as possible

yea and I've had morning sickness everyday and have even lost weight since getting pregnant I barely eat because I have no appetite so I honestly have no clue how my baby is growing so much

because you get tierd of being pregnant getting up almost every hour in the middle of the night to pee or the morning sickness and being sore down in the vagina area not being able to do certain things, not being able to get comfortable or sleep like that anymore an its never good to be over due after a certain amount of weeks not to mentiom the swolleness an not being able to fit anything an shortness of breath an the rib kicks an also thinking your gonna get to meet your baby on the date they gave an not being able to sucks when you get to 3rd trimester you'll see an sometimes ppl have to be imduced after a certain amount of time because baby is to comfortable witch is never good an why some ppl have to get a c-section

@jaye.gatsby, yea and baby is in the 97% of his growth so doc doesn't want him getting to big either

Because like in my case even if my baby is ready or not I will be medically induced so my doctor told me to try to do things on my one so I could maybe have him naturally. It's either I do something or they do. It's not easy being over due, it fing sucks.

I'm a little over 38 weeks and am so done being pregnant. I've tried walking, sex, and hot baths. But I won't do anything more extreme than those. Personally, I would like her to come already because it's been miserable. I hurt all the time and have been throwing up because my acid reflux keeps getting worse, etc. So my reasons are I'm feeling physically awful. :p

Because in the end you are MISERABLE. That's no excuse though, don't get me wrong.
