what is this for its on my stroller brand is baby trend?

maybe to adjust the stroller so baby can lay back or sit straight forward.

no that part is in the back of the seat this is just random on the left back side

isnt that the thing that holds the infant carseat in place on the stroller ?

It hooks onto the carseat to help keep it from falling off the stroller
