Okay preggies I really need some opinions.
I've been timing my contractions and they're roughly 10 minutes apart and have been for about 3 hours now. My water has not broken but I have lost my mucus plug. My doctor said that it's totally up to me if I go to the hospital, but he said more than likely he will want to give me a shot to stop my contractions. But I'm not entirely sure I want to, I'm so anxious/ready to meet my son but I don't want him going to NICU either. Opinions???

@babycasey, okay! But if baby came tonight it would more than likely be safe for him? I really do want him here, but not if that means I won't get to take him home when I leave the hospital, you know?
then I'd def wait awhile longer.... once you feel them to the point you can't walk thru it, then go. The pain goes thru your back and into your thighs....
@babycasey, yeah cause the contractions (right now at least) are very bearable. Hardly painful, mainly uncomfortable.
my water broke at 36wks with my last and she was perfectly fine and weighed 5.5lbs.... If it were me I'd wait to see if they get stronger and closer together before going in....
Get the shot and keep him In for another week or two ...no one wants to see their baby uncomfortable & what if he has to stay I. The NICU ? Your conscience will probably bother u
I completely understand and I'm sure he'd be fine, you're only a week away from being full term....
