Are there any moms on here that stopped taking prenatal vitamins and your baby came out fine?

My sister in law never took her pills and my niece was born super tiny. Don't know if it was related to sil not taking vitamins. I've been told that the vitamins are to help mainly u. The baby will take vitamins and nutrients from mommy and mommy needs vitamins to help replace what baby takes. I didn't take my vitamins in the beginning and I started having dental problems. Now that I've been taking them faithfully I've been doing much better and no more dental problems. So for me it was right. I take them at night before bedtime.

@5nooooodles, ok. I know we have have to have q certain amount of folic acid that would prevent birth defects like spina bifida. But I haven't been taking my prenatals because I throw them back up. When I had my scan my baby was measured a week ahead. I just wanted to know if its ok for me not to take them.

Yes def on the folic acid. My baby is also measuring ahead. I don't know after my bad tooth aches I couldn't risk not taking them but I would def ask ur dr about them. Maybe they can prescribe a different kind of vitamin. I take mine with a light snack before bed and I don't get sick. Hopefully you'll find something that helps u.

I'm in the same bout and stop taking them cause they make me super sick! But I get so scared and worried my baby won't come out healthy even though I've had friends who said they stop taking there's and there babies have turned out fine and healthy.

I haven't took one this pregnancy and everything is fine with my baby, all the test I've gotten done, everything comes back fine. he's growing like he should. my dr told me that it's no big deal if I don't take them. my friend never took any with her babies because it made her sick and she had two healthy 10 pound babies. I only took some for like 3 months with my first and he was nice and healthy too.
