What do you ladies think about buying newborn clothes from a thrift store that are in really great…

I'm doing the same thing. I don't see a problem with used clothes especially if they're clean.

i do all the time. i love once upon a child they do that.

Yeah, to me, as an almost five time mom now, I've learned how quickly babies outgrow things. I canvt justify paying $25 and up per outfit unless its a special outfit for portraits or something.

Go for it. As soon as you wash brand new clothes for the first time it takes away the brand new look any ways! And I washed all my sons clothes already. So no harm no foul mama. Gently used is amazing n

I did that to with my first if I'm having another boy I.just need smaller clothes like New born and 0-3 but If it's a girl I got some bibs socks and shoes

like @sarahemccormick said. u get a bunch for the price of one new item. u use them everyday and only buy new for special occassions. if u broke like i was with my first :) yard sales and consignment stores were the best bang for my very hard to get buck. clothes was higher quality than wat i could afford. another option is going to sears and other places that puts their clearance clothes on fifty or more off. i would shop ahead for my little girl...calculate for size increase and weather. ect.

I don't do thrift stores they are bad near me but consignment shops and stores ohhhhh they are my favorite. I'll buy anything clothes toys etc as long as I can either was it in the washer, dishwasher or can spray it with vinegar I go for it

My sister and mom asked me the same thing about getting used clothes for my girl when she's born. I told them I would feel comfortable putting her in something used after she's about 6 months, I figured right in the beginning her immune system is too weak and she could get sick possibly even if I washed the clothing. It made sense in my own head so hopefully it helps you!
