I still don't know if what I'm having is contractions or not.its frustrating AF!!! 😡 I get "lighting" a lot Sharpe pains and my stomach gets tight and stuff but no real like noticeably different pains yet. ik I have asked this before prob many times but can some one please tell me what a damn contraction feels like. I thought I was maybe having some but now I doubt that's what it is. also had sex last night and been cramping more then normal after that. is that a good sign?
I'm super late, my apologies. I didn't have pain meds, just a bit of oxygen.
I'm sorry mama. if you get a sweep it will be okay. just remember to breathe
its not that bad. just a lot of pressure. i think the cervical exams they give every few years are worse.
don't worry. every mom has some kind of questions. its like when they check to see how dilated you are but in more depth. they swipe around your cervix to separate the amniotic sac from your cervix and it's supposed to help release hormones to bring on labor. usually they do it of your overdue or if there's little to no progress being made in dilation. I had 3. the 3rd one put me into active labor.
well I didn't have real contractions until the day I went into active labor. so they started around 3ish am then they got worse after a membrane sweep around 2pm.
alright thanks so much. do you rember how long you had them bfor they started getting painful?? I wanna go into labor! lol @firstbaby_girl
that's how mine were in the beginning. then they got stronger. I would just keep an eye on them in general and see what the pattern is.
should I start timing them when they gt more painful or when they r closer together bc right Now most of them arnt pianful just dull and very period like. idk its hard to explain @firstbaby_girl
sounds like real contractions, but they don't sound like they're bad yet. keep track of how long and how frequent
yeah you only feel pressure with the epidural. but I didn't have heavy amounts because I could still feel a little and by the time I pushed it pretty much wore off but not a whole lot to wear it was just awful. and I do agree with her they kinda feel like period pains as well. I mean they're different for everyone too you'll hear a bunch of different descriptions of contractions.
did the epidural help a lot with the pain?? @their.bomb.ass.mom
and rlly?? so maybe these period like cramps r little contractions? @firstbaby_girl
to me braxton hicks had my stomach tightening and sometimes took my breath away. real contractions felt like severe period cramps and sharp pain in my lower back.
Hmm, kinda. At first when I didn't realize what they were they felt like I had to poop really bad! and I had an epidural.
aww yeah ik its gonna be all worth it but I'm just so nervous. did you have any pain meds??@tayek
That feeling came and went with me, the poopy feeling. And when it was time to deliver it felt like my body had like, its own agenda. I couldn't even breathe when the pressure hit and the only relief was to push. It was pretty intense...but the relief afterward was INCREDIBLE. Plus my daughter's a doll lol She's 9 now.
ohh gosh okay thank you. deff don't think I'm having any yet then 😕 @tayek @their.bomb.ass.mom
this is random but I heard they kinda feel like poop cramps is this true?? or not so Much with you guys??
My contractions felt like being squeezed and twisted, and the squeeze twist got stronger and lasted longer as everything progressed.
It's hard to explain. They feel somewhat like Bh but times 20. your belly tenses up the same but the pain is very much there. and after and hour and a half they were still there, my bh came and went, weren't regular, and never stuck around too long.
so do contractions feel like just stronger BH?? or is it hard explain how they feel?? @their.bomb.ass.mom
sounds like Braxton hicks. mine got more and more intense the further along in pregnancy and after sex. it's different for everyone but my real contractions were very painful and wouldn't let up, I couldn't walk/talk through them and I felt like I could hardly breathe.
Having some pretty intense constant lower back pain and maybe super light contractions. But can't tell because the back pain is way over powering contractions so I'm walking around my room to see if they get worse.
I have a low tolerance of pain so I’m screwed either way 😂 but I am going to get through a natural birth no matter what!
Quick question: Are the contractions or pushing the most painful?
I’ve felt contractions with my first and omg. But I didn’t experience the pushing. He was way to tiny.
I know I've posted this before but when your water was leaking did it stay leaking or just with movements or what? Did you get contractions shortly after or no? I rolled out of bed and felt warmth leak out but Idk if it was possibly urine or what...never had it happen. It didn't smell like anything really...I know I should either call l&d or go in but I just want some experiences please. I want to wait a bit just in case it's nothing.

Ladies I would like to introduce my babygirl. Came to the hospital and was having full blown contractions and doctor decided to operate me. My delivery was so painful I felt everything.
