Some states have different rules
Yes with a religious or medical exemption
you have to get a exempt form and take to the school that's how it is in FL my sister don't have her kids vaccinated and when her oldest starts she has to get a form but some schools won't take the form and other do she lost her kids Dr cause she refuses to vaccinate them. its all about the state and county and their rules about vaccinations
@alauraandabdielsmom, I get where your coming from and i agree with you. I don't get it either. every time Sadie goes for shots I always tell her at least you won't get polio! like every time I see the new things with the damn flu shot I want to scream at people
@valerie_jean you sure don't have to explain some of these shots have deadly things in it my baby will only receive the ones that are really helpful all of them are not I have read all the information on what's in it I have a list of what I want her to get. I will not take a flu shot now read all the stuff in it girl my Dr was like I understand your concerns. Even in some cases they are contributing the some of the shot to sudden death think about you don't know what you are allergic to till you come in contact. I completely understand your concern only massive outbreak on a certain disease. it's your choice
I don't understand a lot of things what people do with their children but I don't sit here and question them. To each their own. Not my child not my problem.
I'm not trying to argue, I just legit don't understand it
Dude drop it I don't vaccinate my child. You vaccinate yours. Lol congrats I'm not even upset about it? Let it go. 😊
At our schools here and daycare I work at you need your shots or you can't go . I had to get shots for school as well
Okay so you don't vaccinate. What happens when your child ends up with whooping cough or the measles?
@alauraandabdielsmom, it should be her choice what she wants to do with HER children.
Lol I don't need to explain to you why I don't vaccinate. Like I said do what you think is right for your child and I will do what I think is best for mine
Vaccinating is becoming the norm and it's most likely required if you place your child in centers or register them for school. It's a liability to the whole school to have a child unvaccinated because it could start a massive outbreak.
I don't understand why you wouldn't vaccinate, I just don't I mean unless it's medically needed to not vaccinate why risk it?? why would you put your child at risk of all these deadly diseases it protects them from?
And I'm not, not vaccinating because I'm being told I have to? It's my choice.
But how is it fair to me to be forced to vaccinate my child when it's not needed? It's not. I'm not saying you need to home school your child at all lol I said you should do what's best for your child. @alauraandabdielsmom
My kids aren't vaccinated and they attend school, were in WA. My daughter won't be vaccinated either. No rules about that here.
So basically, I should have to keep my child home away from a good education because she doesn't need to be exposed to children with deathly illnesses because you don't want to vaccinate because you're being told you have to? how is that anymore fair?
@valerie_jean, I agree completely with you!!!! When there's a risk, there should be a choice.
I couldn't go to school without them they send kids home until they get their shots
That's all I'm saying, schools shouldn't force a child to be vaccinated in order to receive education.
Vaccines are up to the parents and if you think your child needs vaccines then so be it, I'm not against them at all. But vaccines isn't what's best for my son and they can't force me to vaccinate my son. My son deserves education. @alauraandabdielsmom
I couldn't go to school without them. I couldn't attend any local colleges without them
I never had a shot either and I attended school. @amorasmom
You'd have to look at your state laws. In CA, WV and MN (?) you are not allowed to have any exemptions, except medical. It's likely you'd be able to use a philosophical or religious exemption.
@valerie_jean, I personally think it's good, being a mom of a medically fragile child she doesn't need to be exposed to children who carry the risk of measles and whopping cough and everything else. but that's just me
no that's not true I've never had a shot ever and I attended school
Oh yeah see I think that's bullshit. Vaccines are a personal choice and what you think is right for your own child, and if I decide not to vaccinate my child you're going to deny my child education? Dumb. @alauraandabdielsmom
@valerie_jean, I do believe they are trying to do away with that now, some states have already made that a non excuse
It's mostly true unless you're exempt for religious reasons. Schools here in Ohio will let your children if you say it's against your religion.
Yes, they have to be home schooled from my understanding. Public schools won't allow it
I'm pretty sure most schools are like that. I read it on the news one time
Saying to ones self " Don't debate Don't debate" smh
