This is perfectly safe if your watching your baby and it's only while you are doing something other than sleeping. It's fine for napping and laying while awake while you lay Down and watch tv or something.
I agree that it shouldnt be on the floor tho i dont even put car seats on the floor or ground thats just me tho
I think its fine to nap in take where ever you go not to replace as a bassinet or crib but babies sleep in car seats bouncer swings etc so i don't understand why everyone makes a big deal about the baby being flat.
I think she was asking about the entire picture just not the product @bria.k
well we all have different parenting styles and I think being strapped in is a problem . if they aren't in a moving vehicle or anything motorized. babies move a lot during sleep and this is restricting the movement. and I this this is a great safety issue for the baby to be on the floor while the mother is asleep if you need to be close to your baby get a rollable bassinet and put it near your bed . to me this is just unsafe . and all babies aren't the same @kaitlyn.edwards just like all parents @ce5ce thank you .
Why is everyone so crazy about this kind of stuff? my daughter has slept with a blanket and her fuzzy blanket since day one... she is perfectly fine.. she knows how to move her head if she can't breath.
I also don't think she was asking about the photo specifically, but the product. So stepping on the baby is also not an issue lol.
I don't think being flat is an issue here either because this is made specifically for babies with reflux who need to be elevated.
@monilovesautumn, I was just about to say that too. she could easily step on him being half asleep. another thing is from experience my three month old is turning over so well that even a strap sometimes isn't enough. for determined babies like mine this is just an accident waiting to happen because if they get stuck turning over and can't breathe then they can suffocate
nice but I would only use this while I'm supervising
being strapped in is not a safety issue. theyre supposed to be strapped in. the material isnt breathable
baby is unsupervised, strapped in , on his back , the material is too soft , can cause suffocation . its a lot of things that can go wrong and why is he on the floor next to her where she can step on him? 😟
The only thing I could see is if baby snuggles their face into the pillow.
The main reason a product similar to this one was recalled was due to parents putting them in cribs, the baby rolling over the side, and suffocating in between the product and the side of the crib. ссылка There is a newer design out that is safer to use, but it's only meant as a napper where the baby can be supervised. The product should always be on a flat ground surface, putting it up could cause it to fall or putting it in a crib was the main suffocation issue with the first recall. It's great for babies that don't roll yet and babies with reflux. ссылка
