I decided to not really have like a set specific birth plan. I just want to avoid being given pitocen at all costs. And to probably wait as long as possible before getting an epidural.

lol I only had 1 natural birth( not by choice) out of 4 and I tried my best to try again but nope i can't lol

@missnaty, I'm scared shitless. I'm pretty good a breathing techniques but I've never been in labor 😳 @hale I agree with no pit 🙅🏻

Yeah the breathing works up until you let those tears flow I noticed crying makes the contractions worse

Just be strong willed and don't let them give it to you because they will try and it will sound good. But pitocen is what leads to a lot of c sections that could of been avoided. I want an epidural but I know that can slow things down so I want to wait till as late as they will let me and then get it.

And I don't want the cord cut till its done pulsating and I want immediate skin to skin.

@hale I always received the epidural around 7cm and within the 2 hours I was ready to push

@hale, that's what I wanted with my son to skin to skin right away he had an Apgar score of 9 1 minute and five minutes after birth but yet just because he was posterior and took him out of the room for almost an hour and a half oh you can bet I was livid

don't cry. grunt like an animal. and do NOT let any one tell you to be quiet, do a stress free environment, and maybe even play a soothing song while you're birthing. Don't let them force you into any position, if you want to squat, squat, if you want to stand on your head stand on your head ( I wouldn't recommend that) just make sure that they are open to all your choices and desicions

and I say get an epidural asap! I made them give me one at 3 cm because I wasn't progressing because I had been up for over 48 hours ( in labor for 36 of those) and I needed sleep so bad. within 3 hours, it had not only worn off, my son was in the birth canal and crowning by the time they had gotten around to checking
