Not everyone is with their babies father though, so they refer to them as bd instead of significant other...

I'm a single mother and I will never call him a "bd" he is simply my child's father, it's like calling you a "bm" I think that just sounds disrespectful and trashy @viiiimcmxciv

I mean, I agree, but it's difficult to find a term other than that in certain situations. Some relationships are complicated (such as my own) and it's hard to explain things without having to say "baby's father" or "baby's daddy". I'm not saying what you're saying is wrong, I agree, I feel weird saying it myself. But sometimes it's just hard to find a simple way to put it.

lol! I don't say "baby daddy" it sounds kinda ghetto lol I say my daughters father, i'll jokingly say it with my best friend but it doesn't come out of my mouth comfortably. my baby daddy- just sounds bad.

Yeah the only person I say that to is my bestie but other than that when I'm talking to people and it comes up I always say " my child's father" I don't know I don't think I'm better than anyone I jus think it's not classy it makes the mom look / sound ghetto @pretty_xoxo_giirl_
