those that had to have a c section... how long was it before you started breastfeeding/ was able to produce milk?

I did it right after the surgery. the baby and my boyfriend went to the room and after they sewed me up I went back in the room and they gave me him for skin to skin contact and then he was hungry and the lactitionist came and he was fed

as soon as I got in recovery they had her waiting for me.. I breastfed while they cleaned me up

yeah my hospital don't have a nursery either, so you should be fine and if you need help make sure you tell them you need a lactation nurse for assisting

Yeah. we get an hour by ourself now to do skin to skin and they bathe them after in the room with us.

I was allowed to soon as they bathed my son last time, but now In our hospital they don't bathe the babies for at least 6-24 hrs after birth. So My doctor told me to tell them I want to BF right away!

They don't have a nursery at my hospital anymore. we get to keep them with us entire time.

They told me that it would be 20 minutes before I got to hold her and I've already told them I was breastfeeding.

right after, you be in recovery for 2 hrs after c section, just make sure you tell the nurses that take your baby that you breast feeding
