How long did it take you ladies to dilate past 2 cm before you were in full blown labor? I'm not even sure if that question makes sense lol, but at my appointment yesterday my doctor said that I was effaced and thinned and at 2 cm already, but I haven't had any real strong contractions, just some BH and mild lower back pain. Just wondering what everyone else's experiences were like.

I didn't even go last 1 cm until like 3 hours or so after my water broke. Then I didn't get to 5 cm until like 3 or 4 hours after that.
I was in labor for about 9 hours to get to 2 centimeters

I'm almost 38 weeks and my doctor said I've effaced 30% and 1cm dilated. Haven't had any strong contractions yet. Some women can stay dilated for weeks with no progress, while others don't dilate til delivery time.
i have been stuck at 1 and a half cm for 3 weeks. =/

Ok so I want to know how everyone found out you were pregnant! Were you trying, was it morning sickness or did you just have a feeling?

My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
