Lol, the pitocin didn't hurt at all, it just speeds up the process. I was induced a week early because I was getting signs of preeclampsia and they didn't want me to have to go through that! An induction is fine. It's not painful, at least to me it wasn't. And I don't handle pain well. At all.

That pitocin is scary stuff it seems I'm gonna have to stay clear of that. I had my daughter naturally no drugs but now everything is the opposite as it was with her so I jus might ask for the epidural. I'm gonna try first tho if I can't take it then drugs it is @xsyruuup_

I was induced and had pitocin. For me, the most painful part was after they broke my water when I was having contractions BEFORE I got my epidural. After the epidural, everything was amazing. No pain, no nothing. It was good for me, personally. It was my first kid though, so I don't know what to expect naturally. But if natural contractions are anything like pitocin contractions, more power to you moms who go all natural! You're superheroes. 💕

@mommavee, my last labor was almost 24 hours and they broke my water before they would even let me get an epidural because I hadn't progressed enough. I'm trying my hardest to stay strong and not give in to being induced this time even though with 4 kids already at home it's more convenient. After all the pain I had to endure it almost ended in a c-section too. Good luck and I hope yours isn't as bad.

Being induced is definitely more painful and if your body isn't ready it can cause you to have an extremely long labor.

depends on the induction. with my first 2 I was 10 cm and they broke my water.. not horrible for me. but with my 3rd the doctors were impatient (3 days before Xmas ) and gave me oxytocin and broke my water and it was way worse..
I also depends on your pain threshold.

If you have to get pitocin, yes. The contractions will be more painful and closer together because they are synthetic. They aren't your body's natural contractions. I was induced with my first but did not need pitocin, but they were planning on using it so had warned me ahead of time.
