Is Bleeding Normal After Cervical Check?
Well today went in for my appt and I am 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. The midwife warned me I might have a bloody show after I saw her and sure enough when I got home I was bleeding. I'm wondering if she kind of stretched my cervix or stripped my membranes a little bit. I'm a FTM so bear with me if that's wrong lol but I'm seriously wondering if it's normal to bleed after because I've never bled after they checked me the last two times I'm wondering if she did me a solid because she knows how ready I am and she is absolutely amazing anyways I really hope she is the one that I get when I deliver 😊

@olliesmom, yea I only just started getting checked and that's the first time out of the three or four that I've been checked that I've bled
I usually bleed a little bit after vaginal exams. my doctor here likes to do them every visit though (German OB through tricare). but I've only been seeing her since like 26 weeks so it hasn't been a huge deal in my mind.
@ce5ce, it definitely hurt like hell but yea I Was so so so glad that she told me that I was going to bleed lol. @february2016 thank you!!!@olliesmom and ok that's what I thought it might be just wasn't sure she was moving around in there quite a bit so I was not sure at all
her doing the check might have irritated the cervix enough to cause bloody show.
if she did a membrane sweep it would've hurt like hell. a bloody show is normal. I freaked out when it happened to me too😂😂 I mean freaked out freaked out even though I was already at the hospital😂😂
I'm 36 weeks and had mine checked for the first time on Tuesday! I had bright red blood for two days! I was freaking so bad I even went to l&d. They said it was normal
