How many of you moms opted out of getting the flu shot while pregnant? My doctor suggested I get one…

me! ✋ I've never had one and not planning on ever getting one.

I didn't get one with my first or current pregnancy. My doctor was trying to get me to get one Monday on my appt and I told him no, he wasn't happy about it but I don't like that shot. I always get so sick from it. I'm for vaccinating but even for my 8 month old I said no flu shot.

See I feel the same way but I may caught something cause my throat is starting to hurt. I'm taking my germ x next time I go to my next apt😤 I think I may have caught some that fast (maybe)

The hospital is full of germs....idk why I didn't take my germ x with me today at my apt

you need to get one because your pregnant your immune system is comprised and if you get here flu it will be 10x harder on your body then usual and you can't take over half the normal medications

The doctor was telling I could be at high risk if I get the flu and possibly die from not getting the shot (if I get the flu) but idk I hate shots

I didn't get one.. I don't believe in flu shots most of the people I know that have gotten them end up getting the flu after they get the shot!!

I feel the same way and I'm not trying to be sick right after I get the shot. It feels horrible....you have to stay in bed for days and days

I didn't get it, I haven't gotten it for years. Plus some people get sick after they get it, I thought to myself, why risk getting the flu?! Nope I'm good.

You don't actually get sick from the flu shot. It's possible to have flu like symptoms, but it doesn't last long and it's highly unlikely. I got mine for the first time during this pregnancy. I figured if I did end up getting the flu, I'd feel horribly guilty for not getting it. I didn't want to put my health or my baby's health at risk. It was a super easy shot. I didn't feel it at all, and I didn't have any odd symptoms after. I think it's a good thing to consider!

The first time I got it, I ended up super sick. I usually get queezy after shots also and was so against it but dr told me that chances of me getting sick would increase the chances of baby not making it so I got it at our free flu shot clinic at work for baby! The flu shot administrator didnt let my coworker take it because she was already a little sick and she says thats usually when you get sick worse after the shot. Personal preference and comfort level our rules all but I had to for my baby. Thats to big of a risk If I get sick I dont want that to be the reason why this big step in our lives doesnt happen.

I got it only because I'm in health care in contact with patients daily so I'm more at risk to get sick .
