I'm still trying to figure out if I wanna get a shot. lol. I've heard good and bad things about it. I don't wanna regret NOT getting it. and regret getting it lol. so I'm just as confused as you lol
I don't get the flu shot, pregnant or not. but then there are people that get them. really its up to you. your doctor will recommend it, but I personally don't think it really does anything. I never had the shot and haven't gotten the flu, my in laws last yr got the shot and got the flu and everyone in the house got it besides me, and I didn't have the shot.
I got it basically because I work in a hospital and they require you to get it or else you have to wear a mask while at work which I get way to hot if I would have to wear a mask the whole time. Plus since baby is going to be born while it is still flu season I think it was a good idea. They say it's best to get it because pregnant women are more prone to get the flu and if you get the flu while pregnant it can be devastating.
I won't be....haven't had it and I never get it. I will be taking it easy at home starting early Dec so I'm not worried at all. I have also heard of some sad things happening either way, its really up to you.
I have only had one in my life time and that was while I was pregnant with my son. I regretted it so much. I won't be getting it this time. Just like any other time when getting the shot you can still get the flu. I have never gotten the flu without getting the shot. Even after working at a daycare where almost all my kids landed with the flu.
i usually get one and asked my midwife if i should now, and she said i should. besides it just being crappy to be pregnant and have the flu, there's a small risk to the fetus as well. there's no downside to getting one while pregnant, so why not?

I got it and no issues but I'm in the army and around people that like to sneeze without covering their mouths. And they require it.
