you can eat just don't eat after 12 and you can't eat the day of until you get outta your appointment

I ate cookies and juice right before and it didn't effect my test. It was negative

Weird. When I had my test done, I was allowed to eat before the test. I just wasn't allowed to during the wait period. I could then eat after I gave the blood.

I didn't have to fast but when I drank the stuff I couldn't eat or drink until they took my blood

My doctor told me I wasn't supposed to fast for the 1 hour when I told him I did. You are supposed to eat like normal, so that your test is accurate. You don't want a false reading! For the 3 hour, I had to fast for 8 hours. I've read to fast for 12 hours, so that's what I did, just to be safe. I don't know why you don't have to fast for the 1 hour, but do for the three hour.

My appt is at 9am and my midwife just said don't eat or drink anything that morning

At most 16 hours fasting, most commonly dr offices want you to fast for 10-12 hrs.

your not supposed to eat the day of. with me I had my appointment during the afternoon. and I ate breakfast. and ate a little bit of lunch. which I wasn't supposed too lol. but I did bc the drink makes sick. and I ended up passing. normally if they call you after the test you failed.
