now this is one severely pissed off momma!. each time I go to the ER for an IV they pump this into my veins, and prescribed it to me to take as well. (thank god my boyfriend got me something else to take instead) but why the hell would they pump this into me knowing I'm pregnant and that it causes birth defects?!?! let me just say, if anything happens to my child because of it, the hospitals around me best be prepared to deal with one pissed off momma!

you have every right to decline it...no one is forcing you to take it

I don't like this stuff either And I've never taken it, until the beginning of my pregnancy I was super nauseous I clearly asked them to please give me something other then zofran cuz I don't trust it They said OK and told me I was getting some eles well when I was leaving the hospital My discharge papers stated they gave me zofran I was pissd but a Dr. came in and preached forever about how it don't do anything if it's only taken once but that wasent even the point at the end it was that I asked then Not to give it to me and they didn't give one fuck and still did No measurements where tooken to make me feel safe

they told me it was safe. I wasn't told about it and have had it multiple times before pregnancy to help with nausea. it helped then, and if I'm told by health professionals that it is okay, then there shouldn't be law suits for it causing birth defects. that is called medical malpractice and calls for doctors who are supposed to help make things better and all they do is cause more problems to lose jobs. @chelsie918

I was told it wouldn't cause any harm, I honestly had only heard speculation of it. and as I just said it had helped me before I was pregnant, and if I was told by people whose job it is to make sure my child and I are fine that nothing was wrong with it.. well now it's everywhere that if it doesn't cause one thing it causes another... I just don't get how they can say it's fine when they know it's not, how they can manipulate people like that.. @leshea

I wouldn't worry if I were you. They've done multiple tests disputing the lawyers that keep those lawsuits going and moms and moms-to-be terrified. They've found time and time again no correlation at all between zofran use and birth defects. They just keep selling that and it goes around.. Such as the 'vaccines cause autism' argument. But your baby will be fine!

my sister is a registered nurse. she told me under NO CIRCUMSTANCES to take zofran. I trust her.

I trust that if there was really something seriously wrong with taking zofran during pregnancy they wouldn't give it to pregnant women especially when they could be sued for it, it makes no sense to risk getting sued for thousands of dollars just to prescribe a stupid anti nausea pill when there's a bunch of different anti nausea pills on the market....
