any mommies who have had c-sections, could you tell me about your healing process afterwards, I just had one on the 20th and want to know sorta what to expect in the weeks to come, thank you

I had a pretty easy recovery but also had help...my parents flew in for two weeks and did all the cooking and cleaning...I got yelled at if I try ed to help lol. I had stitches that desovled so that was nice and didn't have to go back to get them removed .. as soon as the numbness wore off they had me walking which wasn't too bad...it was hard getting up and down and out of bed. I was on pain meds for two weeks and after that I would only need ibuprofen. at 4 weeks I felt no pain and had to remind myself to still take it easy by 6 weeks the dr said I can resume normal activities slowly. like I said the worst was getting up and down, in and out of bed, car rides, and laughing or coughing....best advice I can give us don't be afraid to have help I think that's what helped me heal so well.

wow, I was also wondering did the doctors ever mention anything about nerves healing back together? because I was told that's what I have going on right now and it hurts so bad it brings me to tears in an instant and I physically can't move, it's just awful @eskawho

I never had that...around my incision my stomach is numb but that's normal...never had the pain you are having...I hope you feel better

me too lol, i was worried the doctors did something wrong during the surgery when the pain first started but i was told its the nerves above the incision growing back together, but I look at my son and it was worth it I have him that's all I need @eskawho

Um it was about 5 weeks the last couple were on and off but the entire time was litter then my normal period...they kind of clean you out or at least for me

my recovery was also quick and I stopped bleeding at 2 weeks ... doing normal not to heavy things like cleaning around the house watching baby and if I did my laundry it would have to be with really small loads and have hubby taken It out the washer cause I couldn't bend over
