Question about glucose test: I'm taking it in a few weeks and I'm getting conflicted advice! I asked the nurse if I could eat prior & she said yes just stay away from sugars. Have chicken/veggies or something. Last night, I talked to a friend who had a baby using same dr and she ate prior (chicken and veggies) and failed first one but passed her 3 hr. She said she wouldn't eat if she were me bc the 3 hr test sucked so bad! I'm worried about not eating and being sick by the time my 1:45Pm apt is that day!!!! Should I just eat early? Not eat? Any suggestions? She can't see me any earlier in am that day- I already checked! Help this nervous momma out!

My doctor told me I can eat but dont eat anything with sugar. You shouldn't eat bread because bread is a carb.
I ate completely normal before I went in. I fasted for 2 hours prior because they don't want you eating or drinking, but I had a muffin and a soda before I went in and passed. I dont see the point in trying to change your diet, if you have GD I don't think eating veggies beforehand will change that. But to each their own
I ate before mine and I was fine. You just wanna make sure u don't eat anything high in sugar like bread fruit and things like that.
You should eat something just something simple like toast with butter maybe an egg and some water nothing that will turn into suger
i didn't eat and had an afternoon appt as well. but i was able to sleep in that day so that helped a lot.

Dad's FB Video!!
Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
