okay maybe I'm just not seeing this right but help me out. so I and my friend had our babies the same day we'll my friends SIL was also due around the same time.. she hasn't had the baby yet but she is only 37 weeks. Everyday for the past week she has gone to the hospital trying to get them to induce and let her have her baby.. I don't understand this and she is super upset we had our children (no matter the circumstances. .) I find it makes me angry am I wrong to be this way?? I mean she can have a healthy baby if she just waits.

she needs to give it a break. she needs to wait at least till 38 weeks.

How was she "due" when she was only 37 weeks? And, she sounds like the type of person the labor and delivery staff hate. Haha. When I was in labor, I was chatting with my nurse, and she was talking about how she hates when people just show up on their due date (not in labor or ANYTHING.) and expect to be induced just because it's their due date. I was like, "no wayyyy people do that!". She said it happens every once in a while, and the nursing staff and on-call obgyn just laugh at them. This girl seems like she's the idiot that the staff makes fun of! Haha.

I don't think your wrong shes being a little selfish to the baby by not allowing the full amount of time she needs to let the baby make the decision of when to come and stop being selfish for her babies sake

As the mom of a 29 weeker I kinda want to smack people who want to force their kiddo out, but as a mom of a full term baby who I was induced with right at the 40 week mark I can kinda understand... But I think people just need to wait until their baby is ready, unless doctors tell them otherwise.

well we ( me and my friend) were due end of October beginning of November and so was she.. however both of us went I to labor early and had our babies and so she thinks she needs to be like that too. it makes me so mad because my baby is healthy but could have been so much more healthy if she had stayed in. the other lady doesn't seem to realize that and she has 2 other kids!!! my ongyn is hers as well and she hates seeing her because she is trying to be induced almost every single day!!!!
