It depends on your situation. I went into premature labor and delivered my daughter at 18 weeks back in May. Of course she was too small to survive. They figured out that I had an incompetent cervix and told me if I decided to get pregnant again I would need the surgery plus the shots to keep the pregnancy.

I'm starting mine on Friday. I also had a surgery called a cerclage at 13 weeks to stitch my cervix closed. I'm currently 15 weeks 5 days.

yes, it makes your pelvic area hurt sometimes but it works. mines go back and forth but since I'm further in pregnancy now they just took me off
