Honestly the only time you should be putting rice cereal in a bottle is if they have problems with reflux or throwing up a lot. It helps them keep it down. People will recommend it so that they sleep longer but studies show it doesn't even work, they'll sleep the same amount! And babies are born with a mechanism to know how much to eat. Adding cereal to their bottles makes them forget this which should be automatic. It teaches them to over eat and can actually lead to obesity in their future. And this is all based on scientific studies and facts. So, no, it's not good for them.
@kevynnsmommy0316 i dont think it helps with feeling fuller or sleep better because when i put the cereal in his bottle my son still eats right on schedule lol and he sleeps throughout the night with or without cereal so im thinking about just adding the actual baby food like bananas to his milk so he can get a treat for breakfast

thanks girlfriend I don't think he likes it like that I mean I haven't tried it but I did buy him the Gerber oatmeal with mixed fruits and he gagged lol so I'm pretty sure he didn't like it @babynova12.5.14

I never did in bottles but there is nothing wrong with it at all. I put it in every bowl of food she eats tho !!
I wouldn't. It's not necessary at all, and it's not really /good/ for your baby.

Also, over feeding your baby to make them sleep longer isn't really the best way to do things. You could just feed them when they're hungry. It's kind of part of being a mom.
