I feel the same way.. When I told my fiancé I don't want his family coming up here (they were planning to stay at a hotel close by) and he doesn't seem to understand I want it to be JUST US with our new baby. I talked to my mom about it and she said the best way to try to keep people away is just saying you're tired or the baby is sleeping and what not. When she had my brother, if anyone came over she'd say she was tired and go into her room and that was that. Maybe this can work for you? And I'm sure if you tell everyone you want time to bond with baby, they'll hopefully understand. Good luck mama

no I told everyone we will tell u when u can come. at least the first few days I want minimal people over

me and my baby daddy are doing that only people we want around is our daughters god parents.

No, I think that's perfectly normal and understandable. I bet more people would do that if they didn't get so much pressure from fam to see the baby right away.
