I never had a c-section with my first and obviously don't plan on it this time unless there's an emergency. But some doctors will do it if you've had complications and such. You can voluntarily ask for one as well.

As far as being induced they will also do it if you have certain medical issues, and you can ask to be induced but they usually won't let you unless you're 39+ weeks. Which I honestly don't know why anyone would want to be induced, that seems kinda scary to me! lol.

I was induced for medical reasons. I needed to be on my medication which are steroids and my dr needed her out first. I would never choose to be induced. It was terrible.

I was induced but that's because my docs don't like twins to go longer than 38 weeks cuz they can run out of room, clamp their cords or hurt each other. Being induced was the worst part of the whole delivery process!!! OMG! But after that it wasn't so bad. I was given the option for a c-section but the recovery time was much much longer and I couldn't have that being a ftm, single with two newborn twins. If you can avoid being induced I would. Try everything possible first to get the process started if you can when the time is right! Just my opinion, and that's what I'd do differently next pregnancy!

I was supposed to be induced at 39 weeks because I am a diabetic but she failed a non stress test and after being monitored for a day they tried to induce me at 38 weeks...I was in labor for 2 days but I didn't progress and her heart rate was staying steady and wasn't going up like it should which could have been she was sleepy from the morphine I got to help me rest the night before so we decided because I didn't progress and baby was still high up that a c section would be best before it became an emergency.

my doctor never brought up being induced , she just waited until either i said something or if it was needed . but baby girl came three days late

being induced increases the chance of c-section. I'm not going to be induced unless i am 42+ wks. google it - it's not a good thing.

I had to be induced due to my preeclampsia and than I ended up having a rupture in my placenta so I had an emergency c section, so mine was for a good reason
