Strep b isn't really something to worry about. You just have to get antibiotics while you're in labor and everything will be a okay! 😋

I tested positive and had the anti biotics and my son was perfectly fine :)

@k.haotic, its a bacteria in my vagina not sexually transmitted or nothing like that like 30% of woman have it but tho it is harmless to us adults being transmitted to a infant during birth can cause complications and illness but they put you on iv antibiotics during labor and delivery to prevent that from happening.

thank you @queendavis and @mamaofangelbaby0610 im just worried i wont get to the hospital to get the antibiotics on time.

I'm pretty sure even if you're in the middle of labor they will still give you the anti biotics, I was induced with my son and even though I was induced they waited til I was about ready to start pushing to give me the anti biotics

it won't I have it and they just start you on antibiotics as soon as your water breaks that way nothing happens to your baby

Well to ease your fears, I had group b strep with my last pregnancy. I was only in labor for an hour and a half. My daughter was born within 20 minutes of us arriving at the hospital. So there was literally no time for anything, no drugs, no epidural, no IV, and no antibiotics to treat the group b strep. So I didn't get the antibiotics and everything was perfectly fine. My daughter is perfectly healthy and the group b didn't transmit to her. When you're in labor for a short amount of time it's actually better because there's less time for the baby to catch the infection. So try not to worry about it :)
