Thank you all, the nurse told me it can take 24 hours to two weeks for the results to come back for the cord testing and it goes back to 20 weeks. I hope it comes in quick, I want my babies home with me where they belong

this happened to me when I had my son last year! they said I tested positive for benzos which I have never taken in my life and had to test the baby's poop to see if he came up positive. they sent a social worker in my room and everything. but 2 days later when we were at home the social worker called and said they made a mistake! I'm sorry love!

Im so sorry you're dealing with all this but @sarahemccormick is right, you should get the media involved ASAP! If the hospital and its staff is acting too stubborn maybe a shine in the limelight will knock some sense into them @natesgirl

No it was just regular Tylenol. I read that robitussin can cause a false positive for opiates and a kidney infection can too I think

The nurse in the nursery that is here agrees with me, she is the one who told me that the test they do here is pretty general

Did the Tylenol have codeine in it, by chance?

They are very unprofessional and the excuse they gave for me and the other baby to be negative was that we have different metabolism. I think that is bs, the babies metabolism aren't going to be that much different from each other and I have slow metabolism so if I had done anything it would still be in my system. The only things I have taken are cough syrup, tums, Tylenol, nifedipine, benadryl and what ever they gave me during my c section

@natesgirl, seriously. you need to stand up and do it now. contact an attorney first thing in the morning, and contact every local news station you have in your area, or have your husband do it. raise hell. get outside entities involved. They are, and so should you. Those are your children, and they deserve their mama. If you didn't take anything or do any sort of drugs, something seriously doesnt smell right to me. One baby tests positive while one doesn't? No, ma'am. I will help you however I ca from here, if you need me to make phone calls for you, so be it!

I would make such a huge deal and raise hell, they'd wish they never made accusations against me.I would take it so far as to call the local news and put the hospital on blast if they wanted to play that with me!

I know they got a judge to order emergency removal until the cord tests come back so I won't even be able to take them home

Yeah they had to have messed up. Don't let them bully you. Fight for what you know is the truth and ultimately they will see that you are telling the truth.

I have done all of the above and they don't care. The hospital is sending the cords off to be tested because the test they do here isn't very accurate.

Have you been on any certain meds or pain killers or anhthing like that? Cuz I know some meds will make it look like you have stuff in your system. I would also ask them to check the baby's blood again because if you and the other child didn't test positive, there has to be an explination or a mistake
