For anyone that has bought a crib bumper, unless it is mesh, I urge you to do your research. They have been proven to be one of the big risk factors for SIDS and other causes of infant death.

I wish they did know what is the cause of SIDS. just wanted to clarify

it's unknown what causes SIDS. I wish they did though.

I agree they can be harmful and cause suffocation but SIDS is different.

Why are crib bumpers so bad?? :o

flowwermama I was told it was better to have them because if you don't they can roll over
missing145user I think crib bumpers are necessary, but use the breathable kind for sure just because. There were

Okayy moms , so how does some of you feel about the crib bumpers ? I used them on my sons crib back then & he slept fine . & I keep reading that they suggest not using them cuz of the higher risk of SIDS. It scares me but also I personally like the bumpers so I'm a little undecided if I wanna use one for when we get Aidens crib set .
