so question preggie friends.....what are your takes on getting a babies ears pierced??? my mother had mine done at 8 months old...I am thinking about doin the same with my daughter......I just read an article on Facebook the UK is trying to make it illegal....a few people were quoted saying its child abuse and child mutation to satisfy the parents vanity..........I think its just a load of b.s. for them to do this but that's just me I guess

I used to work at a claires and I definitely recommend going to a tattoo parlor if you want to they really don't do much for training at claires you watch a movie then watch them a couple times. I see nothing wrong with it. I just always hated doing it cuz its like getting shots they cry so hars

I don't think it's child abuse, but it isn't for me. My parents made me wait until I was 13 to get mine done. I just am going to wait until my dd wants to and asks to. I understand why some parents choose to, but that's their decision.

My parents waited until I was 6 to get mine done and I loathed them for it. Like if you're gonna force me to do something, do it while I'm a baby. It's no different than getting a shot. Pop and it's over with. If she doesn't like it when she gets older then she can take them out. Also, if you do it while they're young, they can't pull on it and let it heal. People are so butthurt over everything. Do what you want to do with your child.

I got mine at like 10 weeks or something and I'm so glad because even if I don't wear earrings they never have closed and I don't remember it at all :o

Make sure you go to a researched, reputable tattoo parlor. The cheep guns at places like Clair's can actually tear the babies soft skin. (:

I got mine as a baby and did my first daughters at 2 months she almost 2 and one got infected a few months ago so I had to take it out and clean it up until it was better and thankfully it didn't close up. Not sure if I'm doing this baby's or not

see and if mom and dad can agree on something then I'd say its up to the parents....but to say they are abusing their child??? I mean I thank my mom for getting mine done and I was able to wear small studs nothing flashy

I don't really have an opinion whether parents should or shouldn't...it's their choice and but my husband wants to wait until she has the choice and I was fine with that...I was 7 years when I had mine done

I personally wouldn't do it. Only because I feel like it makes little girls look so grown up! And I want my daughter to be able to make the choice for herself. And honestly I wouldn't want to see her cry because it hurt. I know she wouldn't remember though. But, I don't judge or thinks anything is wrong when mothers do choose to do it. I think it just comes down to your personal preference.

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
