I need help on decided what type of food to provide for the baby shower. It's on a Sunday from 5-9 due to my boyfriends work schedule. We were just going to go with appetizers but now I feel like we should serve rice and one meat or pasta. Thoughts?

I've never been to a baby shower that served a full meal or last 4 hours for that matter. I'd just stick with appetizers honestly. but that's just me.

@rainbowbaby2016, how long do they typically last? My shower is being held at a hotel and they said I have to book a room for at least 3 hrs I doubt people will stay until 9

finger foods and dip is what I've always served at my baby showers. we just made sure to have plenty of them.

All showers I know are usually 4 hours. And that late is do chicken and rice, a tossed salad and maybe a veggie or cheese platter.

I had fried chicken, Italian meatball subs, potato salad, mastacholli, and pasta salad also a candy table with cake, cheese cske, jellos, candy, and cookies
