help ladies I'm at work at a new clients and this is what his meds say, does it mean not to take or to actually touch?!?!

That means to not handle the medicine nor touch it if you are pregnant! And your pregnant.... So don't touch it because it's not safe!

@levleah, okay that's fine but her profile says 10w so if she doesn't know if she is having a boy or girl I still would get a second opinion that's all better safe than sorry

@jayswife05, I don't think she means she's been prescribed that medicine, but is taking care of someone who's taking it. It's pretty much only used in males to treat BPH (enlarged prostate).

it's particularly harmful if you're having a boy. The medication is coated so the active ingredient isn't exposed unless any pills have been crushed or broken, but due to the drug's history of causing severe birth defects, I personally wouldn't handle it at all.

I would want a second opinion about that because if I can't touch it pregnant I would not want to put it in my mouth either sounds fishy.....is that a new med or something you have been taking

I wouldn't handle it at all, even with gloves. Finasteride is highly teratogenic (hazardous to fetus).

wesr gloves if you have some by the wording it sounds like you shouldn't handle if pregnant
