Is it normal to get run down and feeling like a failure with a newborn? Chloe is content and happy, but I'm so exhausted and I just feel like a failure :(

Could be ppd, or it could just be that your exhausted mama! That's what happens when you don't get enough sleep, your body shuts down. Is there anyone that can watch baby for a bit while you rest and then do something by yourself, like go to the nail salon or get a massage?

@coraanne, yes, but when I'm away from her all I do is worry. I know I've always had bad anxiety. If I have someone watch her I feel like I'm not doing my job as a mom to keep her with me.

same happened with me. everyone always saw my baby and still see my baby and say she's such a happy baby.. and I still feel like a failure and I know it's not ppd.. more than likely it's because you need sleep and rest.. and I know you feel it's your job to do it all.. but cut yourself a break mama you'll feel better I promise :)
