@yahuahsdaughter, he quit his career to finally work the job of his dreams (bowling alley lol), but then Marge got pregnant with Maggie and the bowling gig wouldn't support them with a new baby. Whenever he crawled back to mister burns for his job, he said he could have it back BUT he would have to work this job forever. Condemning him to day in and day out of a shitty job he hates.
