Labor story...well Wednesday evening around 8pm I started having irregular contractions and my back was hurting more than usual. I honestly thought it was just the way the baby was laying. By 10pm I realized the contractions were coming a little more regularly and about a half hour apart. By 11pm they were coming every 20 minutes and definitely getting stronger. At 12am I called the hospital to explain they were about 15 minutes apart but since I live an hour and a half away from the hospital I wanted to at least be checked. After checking my medical history the midwife told me to head on in. Got to the hospital around 2am and after being checked into the system I told the nurse I really needed to be checked. I was still in triage having a monitor hooked up when I told the nurse we really didn't have time for all this. It was 2:40am and I knew we didn't have long. The nurse said she would check me as soon as she came back, then walked out of the room. No one, including my fiance realized how serious I was that I was about to deliver. The nurse came back and checked me, dilated to a 7 but baby was there. She immediately got me into a labor and delivery room, apologizing because according to her I behaved as if I wasn't in labor at all when in triage. I was put in the room by 2:45am and Wesley was born at 2:59am. No complications, all natural and he came out perfect. He weighed in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and 20 inches long. The nurses and staff have been wonderful but we are looking forward to going home later this afternoon.

!!!!LABOR STORY!!!! Saturday at 1AM, lost my mucus plug/bloody show, and I was freaking out! A couple of hours later I had cramping, but felt like BH just a little stronger. They came and went, but felt stronger with each hour. Didn't sleep that whole night! I called the midwife at my hospital and told her I lost it and was having really bad cramping and she told me I was fine and was prob just having BH contractions. The next day I was having what I thought were strong BH contractions every 10-15 mins, but the new City Target had opened across the st from my MiL house in Fenway, (go Red Sox! ⚾ ) and I had to coupon (it is a big coupon week!) so, I went to Target and couponed, hurled over in pain every 10 minutes, coupons in hand 😂😂😢 Went home, contractions were really intense and came every 3-4mins, so around 3am I called the hospital again and said I'm having really bad pains, and I can barely walk. They take my breath away and I think I'm in labor. Again, she said I would be screaming and unable to be so "chatty" if I was in labor, and to stay home and go to sleep. Obviously I couldn't sleep with these killer contractions every 2-3 mins now! Monday morning, July 27 contractions were now every 1-2 minutes, intense like someone was rilling out my insides, I tried rocking on the glider in the nursery, tried soaking in the bathtub, but I was in tears from the pain and from lack of sleep for two nights now, so I told hubby if these aren't labor pains I'm not waiting until I'm actually in labor. Let's to go the hospital and get the Epidural (my plan was to go natural) and he's like ok let's go. Arrived at the hospital around 10:15, got admitted, sat around moaning while the nurses told me relax, you'll catch your breath, we will get you a room in a minute. Meanwhile I'm in a wheelchair doubled over barely able to breathe. I thought I was going to pass out from the pain! Got into a room, they listened to baby's heartbeat, and midwife came in to check for dilation. "Oh my god I don't even feel much cervix. You're 9cm dilated honey let's go push!" I almost passed out at that point! I told her I can't do this it hurts soooo bad. But we got into a room, I pushed for the longest ten minutes of my life and out he came! I tore and got stitches, but not from end to end thank god. Still sore and uterus is cramping but everything else is going well. Breastfeeding is so hard! We will get there though! Third night of no sleep so don't mind the bags under my eyes hahaha And yes I am going to hunt down that darn midwife who told me to stay at home cuz I was fine and not in labor! Smh I had a CVS coupon trip planned for yesterday, but I'll take Ezra any day! So glad I pulled through with my plan though. It feels so empowering! Not saying next time I'd do it again 😂😂😂

Absolutely disgusted with my hospital! Rang triage and they said they were closed and I can't get to any other hospital…

Absolutely disgusted with my hospital! Rang triage and they said they were closed and I can't get to any other hospital as they are too far so the woman on the phone told me I'll have to cross my legs and cope with constant intense pains and reduced movements until triage opens again! How fucking dare she?! If there's anything wrong with my baby or I go into labour it's on her head! 😡😡

Got to the hospital at 4 am to start my pitocin, well.. I was put on the drip at 430 am , and was 4cm dilated and 80 percent effaced, an hour later. The nurse came in to check me, hours later, and I was at 6 cm. I got the epidural at 6cm.. But it didn't work for me, no more than 20 minutes later, I couldn't take the pain, I was screaming and crying.. And felt everything.. most terrible pain ever, I called for my nurse to come in and she checked me again, said I was ready to deliver, babys head was there. About 30 minutes of pushing, and 8 stitches later, 10:40 a.m. I gave birth to the most beautiful, little girl in the world, weighing 5 pounds and 8 ounces, 18 inches long! Welcome to the world Scarlette Jayde, youre so perfect.. and were so blessed to be your parents!! Even though I felt everything, and the epidural didn't work for me, I have to say the pain I felt was so worth it!!!
