Birth story-

On Monday,October 12th, at 4:30 I was scheduled for a csection at 38.3 weeks. I came in at 2:30 for paperwork and was so beyond nervous. But I had my mom,fiancé,and grandma by my side telling me it'll be okay and so worth it. I was hooked to my iv (which sucks because it goes in your hand 😓) and at 4:30 I was wheeled into the OR. As I was being prepped I was a little panicky but all the amazing nurses assured me it would be okay. I had to have a spinal block but the first time it was inserted the numbing medicine and the block itself failed so I felt it going in (which your not supposed to be in pain) and it was hell. But the anesthesiaologist did another one and finally succeeded. With my fiancé by my side I waited anxiously to hear a cry. After about 10 minutes of pressure and weird feeling, I heard my beautiful daughter cry and instantly tears poured down my face uncontrollably. Seeing my daughter for the first time was the BEST moment on my entire life. I truly didn't believe anyone when they said that a bond between a mother and daughter is so special, but it honestly is. As I was being stitched up, I watched my baby girl be weighed, and measured and all the other things needed. Recovery was rough right after because I was constantly throwing up and dizzy and just very sick. But I still breast fed in the recovery room and she latched right away. The first couple days of her life were rough getting used to things, but now that she is in her fourth day we have got into our routine and I couldn't ask for a better love than what we share. I love my Gracie Leigh SO much.
