So idk if I'm over exaggerating because of my hormones but my SO's parents are divorced and they both have young kids with their new spouses, they would obv be considered my son's uncle's and auntie's. The thing is from his dad's side there's 2 kids, one is 8 and the other is 4. And they are both freaking spoiled brats. They throw the biggest tantrums when they don't get their way. Esp the oldest, he'll punch walls, bang things around, scream, etc. And on the moms side her boyfriend is abusive to her and they have 3 kids together. The oldest is 4, then there's the 3 year old and youngest is 1. They are also brats and I don't like how the boyfriend encourages his children to hit other people. They all do it. He won't "allow" the boys to hit other girls but they all still try. The youngest is already smacking people really hard because the dad keeps saying "smack 'em" and laughs about it. I don't want my son subjected to this behavior and then start mimicking it but I know I can't keep him away from his family. He's not even here yet but I'm really worried about that...😕

I'm confused on why you can't keep your son away from these family members. If they are dis functional and a bad influence it sounds like you need to keep your distance for both yourself and your child's sake.

@mrskel1 because of my SO. He loves his family regardless of their behaviors. We don't get to see his mom or his brothers and sisters often because of her boyfriend and it makes him upset when he can't see them to the point he cries. I can already see us getting into a huge argument if I even try and keep them away
