got put on zofran today. anyone willing to tell me if it helped you? or side effects please?
The chances of negative side effects are greatly lowered after the first trimester.
zofran was the only thing that helped me tbh. I've only heard one lady say her baby had issues but everyone else baby was healthy. I went from throwing up 6 x a day to 1 or 2 x then none. helped me gain my weight back
I have heard some really bad things about Zofran, they even play commercials on the radio and tv about it causing birth defects.
Oh that's ok! this is a great place to vent to, so many people who are going through similar things. But I understand it must be tough, and I'm sure the added hormones and nausea from pregnancy doesn't make it any easier. it's very cliche lol..but you gotta take it one day at a time. right now I just find happiness in thinking about and planning for the baby. I wish the best for you and your baby. ☺
Honestly Diclegis works waaaayyy better than Zofran :) I've had both as well as Reglan and Promethazine and Diclegis was the best
@ali1020, ok thank you . I have been trying to fight my depression but Its not working so my doctor told me three options and I said I would do all three . I just am tired of feeling this way . I have been sober for a year and had my first sober new years 2015 and I'm due right around there . so I'm happy bout that but it didn't fix my problems being sober just made me feel more . I just vented to you sorry lol
My doctor gave me something called Diclegis. it worked very well, but the only downside is it made me drowsy. I did look up side effects and it did not show any adverse effects but the drug is fairly new..so there's no reported side effects YET.
It makes you constipated. At least to me it did. But it helps a lot w the nauseous. I took it and then they changed me to diclegis and that's too working again and been in the hospital now for about 5 days and I am back on zofran. It helps a lot.
It helped me. I was so sick without it I would have been in the hospital for dehydration. It did make me terribly constipated though. 😱 Lots of stool softeners and fiber!
It helped me. Most of those commercials are "ambulance chasers" I was told. I was still very very cautious on the other hand. I took it ONLY when I absolutely needed it
I took zolfran with my pregnancy due to having really bad morning sickness and my daughter is perfect no issues
Just so you know, the zofran lawsuits have been dismissed. It was started to make money by lawyers and such, they clinged onto a few cases. Multiple studies showed no correlation whatsoever between zofran and birth defects, but they keep trying to come back on that. Look on it, it's fine. Don't worry ☺️
It helped me up until I was about 6 months and it was the best thing lol I could eat whatever I wanted while taking it. When I seen the commercials about the defect and stuff I talk to my Dr they reassured me.. But because it stop working they put me on two other kinds..
I know the side effects thank you ladies. I just wanted to know if it actually helped anyone . @_akgirl @williams15
I've seen many commercials on it about health risks to baby. but I don't know specifics about it. do your research.
side effects include birth defects. I refused to take it. it's your choice but I just wasn't willing to chance it
Zofran was my life saver all the way up to about 20 weeks. Helped tremendously I honestly took it religiously every morning or I couldn't eat. I don't have to take it anymore and I would suggest only taking it when you need it (I needed it all the time) but it stops vomiting, helps with nausea & made it where i was able to eat! Hope it helps you like it did me
thank-you ladies who let me know about your experiences. I appreciate it. thank you for caring :)
