40 weeks and 2 days tomorrow can I pump?? I went from leaking to now no colostrum comes out and I'm worried that I won't be able to nurse like I want to can I pump now that I'm so far along to help my body out a little. . . really want to nurse don't want to have to go to formula this time around.

@lovemy3_kings, well everyone is different. I haven't even leaked at all really just a drop or two here and there. Your body will do great, just trust that it can happen and get support if you need it!!

@lovemy3_kings, hopefully you get other input! Our lactation consultant said not to. Unless you have to for medical purposes. Eep!! Good luck lol I am 40 weeks 6 days so I feel your pain on wanting baby here!!!!!

okay hopefully this little man comes out soon so I cab get him started quickly I just see so many conflicting things when I try and look it up lol figured its better to ask other moms here

actually pumping can help baby come it's called nipple stimulation

I am a ftm so of course maybe other moms have input but lots of woman are told to pump early and they really shouldn't! Good luck momma!

I just had a breastfeeding class and was told you shouldn't pump before baby! Your body will produce exactly what baby needs when baby arrives. The best thing you can do is stay hydrated and relax!! Making sure you are comfortable will make it easier for baby to latch on too!!
