This is my 6th pregnancy. 2 were miscarriages. During labor with my 3 kids, my fears were that they along with myself would survive and live healthy. But my fear has always been of the epidural placement. This pregnancy is no different. I want the epidural because I know I don't want to go through labor without it if I don't have to but I'm terrific AGAIN of them putting the epidural in my back. My back is extremely sensitive especially pain sensitive. Everytime, I think I have jerked even though I shouldn't. It's just my reflex. ANYONE have any ideas so maybe I won't jerk or feel the pain from it as much when being placed into my spine??? Please help.

@sugabear1128, yea im only. 5 1 and i used the pillow both times...it definitely. helps
@babybump3, I'll talk to my Dr more about it but maybe I need to try the pillow idea. Thank you for the advice also @babybump3
I actually had problems with all of the epidural placements but I was in excruciating pain when they had to induce me on one of my labors bc the epidural was actually wearing off then the had to give me more meds thru the iv but I felt almost everything then. I really don't think I can do that again. thanks for the advice @auburnmom2
I had an epidural with my second. it was a horrible experience. I jumped too. since then very bad back problems. I'm praying I can have another natural like my first with no pain meds. everyone is different but my body did not do well after the epidural. Make sure you do your research if that's what you decide to your more comfortable and knowledgeable this time around with the epi. Good luck mama♡
I'm really short. I'm only 5 ft tall. so they always have me sit on side of the bed with feet hanging off the bed. I jerk or jump with it being done that way. @babybump3
Anyone have preterm labor? I got this unbearable pain in my back, worse that normal and I have had horrible back pain this whole pregnancy...then I started getting cramps super low in my abdomen...they felt constant but I was in so much pain they I didn't time them or anything. I was crying so bad it hurt. And I have a lot of pressure on my vagaga...does this sound like preterm labor? I'm about to call my dr
if I have chronic back pain that's not affecting my pregnancy but my pregnancy is affecting my back pain...do I see the OB for that or my primary care doctor?
Mommas that have had an epidural. I have questionsss that need to answered lol. Does the epidural hurt when they do it ? Do you still feel pain when you’re in labor after getting one ?
Having some pretty intense constant lower back pain and maybe super light contractions. But can't tell because the back pain is way over powering contractions so I'm walking around my room to see if they get worse.
Does anyone have back pains after getting the epidural shot? My son is over a month and I'm still having really bad back pains.
