I have a question for the mommies who had to have an Emergency C Section, I'm very tiny pre pregnancy I weighed 106 & at the end of pregnancy I weighed 143 so I was all baby & belly, I'm 8 days post partum, Am I still supposed to look pregnant I know their were some complications with my c section & my uterus they had to wrap or tie my uterus because it was swollen & wouldn't go down I guess idk what they did but I still look at least 4 or 5 months pregnant is that normal like I really still have a cute round baby bump is that normal? I feel like it's never going to go away I can't do much now because it's only been 8 days since my c section so I'm still extremely sore & in a lot of pain...
yeah you can drive my doctor told me as long as I wasn't taking Tylenol #3 or narco. I can drive I drove after 2 weeks I needed to pick up my kids so I asked her at my first follow up. also my belly went down after like 2 weeks I still have baby fat but that's gonna go away with exercise
Ok thanks yall I'll see if I can find A binder or a girdle they gave me one at the hospital but I accidentally left it behind when they released me I guess I'll look for one at target or walmart.. @princessvictoria, I figured it was just from me still being so swollen I just wasn't sure I guess I just have to give it some time @coryellemg3 ...& also ladies are you really not supposed to drive or walk up & down stairs for 4 to 6 weeks??
a girdle is called sorry it's cause in the hospital they call the binders.. and it will help with the pain when u get up and the soarness
The swelling is just from your uterus being so enlarged. That usually takes 4-6 for it to contract back to normal size. I had a c-section and was horrible about following the post-op care instructions! The main thing is you don't want to put a lot of strain on your abdominal muscles as they are trying to fuse back together. I think as far as stairs anything in moderation is ok. If you're going up and down stairs that's not letting the muscles heal. Driving I don't know about doing it for at least two weeks post-op, as your in a position constantly that's putting strain on the muscles. Once you get your staples removed and the dr sees how it's healing then you can gradually increase your normal routine. I was crazy though! Didn't take any pain medication after the initial injection post-op and actually got released from hospital day early cuz I was up and walking around within a few hours! Everyone heals differently
