This boy is my world and I will do anything for him! I felt horrible and stressed and overwhelmed because I couldn't get him to latch perfect and eat but I am not willing to put his safety at risk just because I'm hard headed and hate to not accomplish what I set my mind too. yes it would of been great to strictly breastfeed no pumping no formula but when I was getting to the point of crying and getting mad at Alex I knew I had to do something. I gave him a bottle around 10 and now at 1130 going to pump and feed breast milk next feeding and supplement with formula till a steady supply comes and then going straight breast milk. MORAL OF THIS LONG POST...trust your gut and if you feel like something needs to change change it! (felt obligated to strictly breastfeed due to pressure from my mom) Don't worry what others will think or say! you are the mother of YOUR child...not the other women who give you their ideas of what would be best for your little one.
