@quishana I'm having a vbac (my first after a c-section) and I'm not allowed to be Induced he told me but said he will strip me at 38-39wks.. So I don't believe it's considered inducing because no meds are involved just something natural

they don't sweep membranes until at least 38 weeks because anytime before that, a baby is not considered term. 38 weeks is term and 40 is full term. even if it's by a few days, having a premature baby can be very bad, you want baby to cook all the way hun!

Every doctor is different in what they like to do. Some doctors don't believe in inducing or trying to do anything to speed up the process (I guess you could say old fashion doctors) sorry they made you mad :/

You have to loose your mucus plug on your own.... but they usually don't strip your membranes until u are close to being over due.....
