I would like to get your opinions. Today at my Ob they offer me the tdap shot and flu vaccine. I took the tdap but the flu vaccine I refused. Im also sick right with very bad allergies and has fluid in both my ears so right now I cant really take the shot. I have never took a flu vaccine due to my grandma she gets sick when she take it so i figured the same would happen to me. My Ob is not forcing me to take the shot but they want me to consider it for next time In 3 weeks. Have any of yall took the vaccine this time and has it had any effect on you or the baby.

I took the tdap our whatever it's called but not the flu shot. no way.
@mrsg25, I will ask them about that BC this is first time ive ever considered the vaccine so ive never heard of the live vaccine
At my hospital they don't give pregnant women the flu shot with the "live vaccine"...so you won't get sick from it but it will provide you and baby with much needed antibodies to prevent sickness. But it's always up to you!!! 💛💜
@jjbutton, She due in Jan so that also the only reason im considered it but I am the worse to get any reactions from anything @uhoh2015 Thank you hun my allergies increased alot with this pregnancy and im more sensitive to everything also @ftmbabyboy11 true everyone reactions are different I really appericate yall advice ladies im just so confused and lost on what to do.
I did the same thing hun. I just got the tdap. I've never had a flu shot and I worked in a hospital til I got pg. no flu! my gma was the same way lol neither my mom or I get it. it's your choice! hope you get to feeling better 💟
No problems here and baby is healthy... you really should consider it, everyone's body is different and everyone reacts differently to medication. I get one every year and so far every year that I've got one I've been less sick.
I don't have any results for you yet, but I just got it for the first time on Monday. My OB recommended it since my baby will be born during flu season and they can't get it until they are 6 months. Not sure if j would have gotten it if he wasn't expected during flu season.

My last appointment my doctor recommended the Tdap and flu shot. I never had a flu shot and worried. And the tdap prevents against whooping cough. What are you takes on these vaccines ?

I am thankful I got the flu shot I had a slight reaction. just felt mostly tired that day and a little poopy but my boyfriend had the flu really really really badly. he had a fever for 4 days, body aches, headaches. even ended up going to the hospital because show awful he felt. but I got the flu shot while pregnant and Sadie and I did not get the flu! I am great full I got the flu shot
