I think the one thing about labor and delivery that I'm absolutely terrified about is the shot for the epidural.

Its scary , But its nit that bad

honestly the labor and delivery nurses are so amazing you won't even notice! I didn't even feel the first numbing shot

its not so bad once its in. Keeping still during super painful contractions is the hardest part, to be honest. The needle itself is tolerable. I didnt get one with my last son, but I had it with my other three kids. I also wont be getting one with this baby.

@sarahemccormick, yeah I'm worried I may jump! But of course everybody tells me all these horror stories of the needle being super long and what not

I didn't even know they did it until he said I could lay back slowly and asked if I needed help. I was super nervous to because my bf had to leave for that part and he had to drop the dogs off

I don't remember them taking it out hmm that's weird

Honestly girl I had the worst fear about the epidural and I had a panic attack when the anesthesiologist was doing the whole thing

i don't remember them taking it out either. but i had a small complication so i wasn't able to focus on much. mine had to be done twice because of contractions. but it really wasn't that bad

Girl lol with my first pregnancy I'm terrified of needles I was like i won't get any at all no matter what until that day contractions started omgggg I was like fuck it I want an epidural now.. Even tho I was scared to death but damn I didn't even feel a thing!! I was still waiting and waiting but the nurse was like it's done. Im like stop lying lol I didn't feel nothing . Then bam I was in heaven
