When is it okay to start jogging / exercising after giving birth ?
@Kimberlyyyy, so walking might be okay before the 6 weeks ?
By your 6 week post baby check your doctor will more than likely say it's fine to start working out again. By 3 weeks or so (where I'm at now after w c section) I feel fine to walk around and stuff, and with my vaginal birth by this time I was walking a couple miles a day but they don't really recommend "working out" until 6 weeks when your uterus has shrunk down & you've adjusted to life with a baby, blawblawblaw. I wouldn't go for runs right after birth but i think it's better for the healing process to be mobile, just take things easy.
After you're cleared to. Normally 6 weeks. I wasn't till 10 weeks
6 weeks is the usual time for a doctor to give it be all clear to do so. It might depend on what way you delivered though.
@ilovebabyjosiah, it might also depends what you do. I go 6 days well used to do 6 days insanity class. I took 6 weeks off when I had my tubal reversal it's just like a c section but only because I didn't want to risk my tubes I wanted them to heal 100 percent. If I have vaginal I was thinking waiting maybe 4 weeks. It would suck if he says 6 weeks only because my trainer won't let me go back w out a Dr's note.
