Okay so I need advice/opinions. I'm currently a student at Texas Woman's University as a Nursing student. I was thinking about transferring to a community college that's right down the street from me to be closer to home and because I can't afford a baby sitter. The thing is, TWU gives you a bump when you apply to nursing school if you're already enrolled at their school so now idk if I should stay or transfer? I feel like the community college would be better because they're more flexible with your schedule..

@ngujen, are you in the program or still doing pre requisites? That can be a factor in transfering or not.

@auburnmom2, honestly, probably not. I'm sure my mom would offer to watch her but she would have to leave work for that and I'm not okay with asking her to do that for me and I don't really trust anyone else. My sister would be in nursing school already, probably so that's a no too :/

@nurseriri, I'm still doing the pre requisites! they just aren't that flexible with your schedule. they have a day care but don't take kids under 5 :(

@ngujen, if you were in the program already would tell you to stay but since you're only at the pre requisite level you can always transfer if its convenient for you. You can do pre req anywhere.

if you decide to switch make sure all your credits can be transferred. I wenr from University of Phoenix to FTCC. I have two boys with one on the way and I worked my schedule around them in school and stuff. Im glad i switched. I even had to bring them to class with me twice because I had no sitter. The teachers are very understanding. Do whats best for you and your situation mama♡♡

I would switch to the community college. Pre reqs are pre reqs, no matter the school, so if you can impress the nursing school with your grades you'll be fine!

@nurseriri, @auburnmom2 @blueberrybrewing thank you!! I probably will transfer but my sister wants me to see if we can work out schedules around each other to see if I'll even have to transfer. I've seen people bring their kids to class all the time but I wouldn't be able to during labs :/
