Mamaroo vs a regular baby swing? Any opinions? Has anyone tried both? Is the mamaroo worth it?

You can't go wrong with a regular full sized swing and to chance babies not liking a $200 mamaroo ($400 in your case) wouldn't be worth it to me.

I have one and am excited to use it with my baby because it seems awesome. And mine wasn't $400, it was more like $200.

ive heard either babies love it or hate it. my friend had twins in November & they hated it. it was too slow for them so shes letting me try it out.

I think that's a wonderful idea. my oldest daughter who is now 11 had just a swing and I swear she loved it. over $400 on a movable infant seat does seem a bit pricey. I swear my gf didn't even use it and she only had the 1 baby. mind u she had 4 children and this was the 1st she used the roo for and she swears by regular baby swings

my fiancé wants the mamaroo but I had a gf who bought one and that it didn't get used as much as her infant swing she used for her other babies for months where as a the mamaroo she couldn't use after 2-3 months cause her baby was pulling herself up . I watched some videos re: the mamaroo and it seems that a lot of babies love it but idk could just be coincidence that those babies loved it. I think the idea is great but go with your gut. I allowed my DF to add it to our registry but if we get that instead of something our baby truly needs then it's getting returned lol good luck and trust ur momma gut
