Some measure to see the growth of you, not of the baby cuz if your growing too fast or something... There is a reason to measure you just not to see how far along you are
your belly measurement is supposed to correlate with how many weeks you are but but it obviously isn't always accurate. they also use it for other things, like keeping track of your growth.
