It's a good help for an indicator of contractions when you're farther along too. Because the pains usually stop with baths and drinking water unless they're contractions

I took bubble baths my entire pregnancy and added lavender in them, it kept me calm. U just can't have the bath blistering hot

midwife said as long as my body temp doesnt rise over 100, youre good:) so make sure the tub isnt too hot!
